Queen Victoria Autograph with Penny Black Stamp

Military commission appointing Adrian John Hebron Vanrenen to be a Lieutenant in the land forces, court at St James's 1st March 1883. Signed in black fountain Pen in the top left corner by Victoria RI (1819-1901). Countersigned also in black fountain pen in the bottom right corner by the Marquess of Hartington (1833-1908, British Statesman, Secretary of State War 1882-1885). With blind embossed pale blue paper seal. Some light overall foxing and small wear at the folds. Comes with a stunning 8x6 black and white photo of Queen Victoria wearing a long dress, ceremonial sash and crown. Queen Victoria was the Queen regnant of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland from 20th June 1837 and the first Empress of India and British Raj from 1876 until her death on 22nd January 1901. Her reign as the Queen lasted 63 years and 7 Months, longer than that of any other British Monarch before or since and her reign is the longest of any female monarch in history, framed and mounted with original Penny Black, Blue & Red stamps
