Queen Mother signed Christmas Card

Christmas greeting card, stiff cream folding card featuring a black and white photo to the inside of the Queen Mother seated in a full length pose, wearing a long dress, ceremonial sash and crown. Signed 'from Elizabeth R' in bold black fountain pen ink beneath a printed greeting. With a gold embossed crown to the front cover. Circa 1952. A slight band of discoloration appears to the inside edges of the card, evidently caused by previous framing. Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon (1900-2002) was Queen consort of George V1 of the United Kingdom and the British Dominions from 1936 until his death in 1952. After her husbands death she was known as Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother to avoid confusion with her daughter Queen Elizabeth II. She was the last Queen consort of Ireland and Empress consort of India. framed and mounted
