Militaria Down Under
No Allied nations were as heavily impacted as Australia and New Zealand by the war in the Pacific 70 years ago. Our members from Down Under and thereabouts will attest to the enormity of events surrounding their occupation by Japan and their eventual liberation. The heroism of their servicemen - before, during, and after the occupation - is legendary, and both nations have, to this day, a very British, very high regard for their military.
It is no wonder that militaria - or memorabilia related to the military - is also highly collectible and highly sought after in Pacifica. Please take a few minutes to read more about the efforts undertaken by the Queen Victoria Museum and Art Gallery and its staff to teach collectors how to care for their memorabilia as well as enlighten them on the history behind those items.
