FINAL GAME-WORN BUFALO SABRES ‘SLUG’ JERSEYS UP FOR AUCTION
BUFFALO, N.Y. --- The Buffalo Sabres announced they will be holding an online auction of game-worn jerseys featuring the final set of home and away “slug” jerseys worn during the 2009-10 season. Each jersey will come with a certificate of authenticity. The proceeds from the auction will benefit the Buffalo Sabres Foundation. The jerseys feature the design worn by the team from 2006-07 to 2009-10 that marked the team’s return to the blue and gold color scheme. The jerseys included in the auction were worn at the end of the 2009-10 season, making them the last set of this design ever worn by the team. Bidding will close at 9 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 8. Fans can access the auctions by logging onto the auction section of Sabres.com.
