Who knew? $10 million per year - that's what industry experts estimate that collectors spend on "space" collectibles. And NASA is a willing partner, making sure to bring hundreds or even thousands of trinkets along on each shuttle flight. And now a new collector "feat of strength" appears to be collecting one item from each of the 133 successful shuttle missions.
The bottom line is that none of this surprises us collectors - even the $390K one collector bid for a binder of notes from the infamous Apollo 13 mission.
